White Miso & Tahini Umami Dressing

Great dressings have a way of transforming the simplest ingredients into something memorable. This silky blend of tahini, miso, honey and ginger balances richness with brightness, creating a dressing that is both comforting and complex. Nutty, savoury and delicately sweet, it brings together ingredients from across culinary traditions to create a versatile accompaniment that adds depth, warmth and character to every dish.

Serves 200ml
Ingredients
  • 3 tbsp Eid Pantry Tahini
  • 1 tbsp Shiro (White) Miso Paste
  • 1 tbsp Honey
  • 1 tsp Ginger, finely grated
  • 2 tbsp apple cider vinegar
  • 1 tsp Toasted Sesame Oil
  • 2–4 tbsp Warm Water
  • Pinch of Black Sesame Seeds (Optional garnish)
    1. In a small minimalist ceramic bowl, whisk together the tahini, miso paste, honey and grated ginger until they form a thick, uniform paste.
    2. Add the rice vinegar and sesame oil. Whisk vigorously. The mixture may look like it’s beginning to separate or "seize"—this is normal.
    3. Whisk in the warm water, one tablespoon at a time. Continue until the dressing is silky-smooth and has the consistency of heavy cream.
    4. Stir in the black sesame seeds. Taste and adjust; it should be a perfect balance of salty, nutty and sweet.
